16/3/15 5:19:32 pm: Update:
SzeFong has undergone Ct scan. No growth on her brain.
Heart ecg. Normal.
MRI: No pop blood vessels. Therefore no sign of stroke.
Eeg: there is indication of seizure. Fit related. Hence some medicine given to control the fit.
Next test is Lumbar Puncture to obtain information about cerebrospinal fluid (csf).
This fluid is the fluid of the brain to determine the cause of the seizure whether it is virus related.
17/3/15 1:09:49 pm: Update:
All the time, the Medical Officer in charge of Sze Fong is Dr Felix Kho.
Although partial report of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has high Lymphocytes. The full report will take 1-2 weeks to generate. Because samples has to sent to overseas diagnosis.
EEG will be conducted today or tomorrow to determine whether seizure has subsided, after medications given to control the fit.
According to Dr Kho, Sze Fong is on the road to recovery, as the nurses and doctor are aware she is more conscious of her surrounding. Although personally she is more conscious of her surrounding, she still asking: what day is it today? What month is it? It is school holiday? What about her art classes at home and at Katong Covent? She cannot remember the recent holidays and overseas trips made since June 2014. Sze Fong is eating well. She manages to feed herself during breakfast, and shower and change her clothes. While the nurses keeping watch of her. Thanks for your concerns and prayers. Sorry I am not able to keep everyone updated.
